How to pick colors from Web page directly from Photoshop and Illustrator
There are numerous of Browser addons and free softwares to pick colors from a Web page but you can simplify process and pick colors directly from Photoshop and Illustrator and save them as well as swatches or even as new set.
Run Photoshop and adjust window size
First of course you will open Web page with colors you are interested in. Run Photoshop and minimize its window, then adjust size navigating cursor to any window edge or corner, when cursor turns into double sided arrow click and drag to adjust window size.
Next thing you can do is to move Photoshop window in side to see better page and colors on it.
Open document you are working on or create new one. Make SWATCHES panel visible on the right side of screen.
Use Eyedropper tool to pick color from Web page
Select Eyedrooper tool (I) then click somewhere in canvas area, hold down mouse button and navigate over color on the page then release left mouse button.
Save Color Swatch
To save picked color as new swatch preset navigate cursor over right side of SWATCHES panel to turn into Paint Bucket tool then click once.
Color Swatch Name dialog will appear, give a name to the swatch and click OK to save new color swatch. Continue picking colors in the very same way.
When you are done picking colors my advice is to open Preset Manager and save picked color swatches as new set. Select all color swatches you want to include in set then click Save Set button.
Pick Colors from Web page directly from Illustrator
To pick colors directly from Illustrator repeat steps described for Photoshop. Make COLOR panel visible in both application to ensure you are picking right color.
Save Color Swatch in Illustrator
In Illustrator save new swatch from COLOR or SWATCHES panel menus. When you save an Illustrator file, you also save all swatches in the Swatches panel.
